Hmmm .....
"The Ostrich" and "sartorial elegance" are not two phrases which, over the years, have readily combined, and certainly not in relation to facial adornment.
In its earlier years, when it was a mere fledgling, the Ostrich's plumage consisted of a Ringo Starr fringe combined with a drooping Mexican mustache. (This may be evidenced on early passport photographs.) In later years, the mustache was cut back to the style known as the "Toothbrush", but perhaps in practice resembled more "Mein Fuhrer" .....
Eventually they invented Electric Shavers (God Bless Victor Kiam - he bought the company, if you remember the advert) and the Ostrich has been relatively clean shaven ever since; nowadays, it even sports a No.2 Buzzcut. Less of an Ostrich, you might say, more a Bald Eagle ...
At least Aggers would approve .....
