I went to see her on my birthday, it must've been my 8th as it was the Silver Jubilee year and she was visiting Walsall so my Mom, myself and a few neighbours went. Prince Charles came here that year too, we were taken from school to sit on a grassy bank leading into town and given flags to wave at his car as he went past.

I also saw Princess Anne in traffic outside our old house once when I was rushing out on the school run, she'd been in town opening something or another.

My MIL was presented to Princess Anne, at a posh do, for her work with Macmillan (she was the first Macmillan nurse in Gloucestershire) :) She has a photo of herself in a deep curtsey being presented, they were taught how to do it and had to practice - not easy in a long frock  :P

Becky petted Prince Edwards horse in Windsor Great Park once and chatted to him for a while - she had no idea who he was mind you, she was far more interested in the horse!

LOL that's so funny

John did a 24 hour ride last year and it was held at Gatcombe Park. It was assumed that the grounds and woodland had simply been hired for the weekend but it turned out that Princess Anne had helped out on building the trails for it, and she presented the winners with their awards at the end.

Beautiful countryside up round Garcombe, I had a HB client up near there a couple of years ago, at Avening. Just stunning views up there 8-)

More Queeny trivia - one of my ex's friends was a groundsman at Windsor Great Park, he also used to help look after the gardens round the castle and apparently HM feeds her dogs herself there, every day she's in residence :) 8-)
