He'll think twice next time....

Postby Workingman » 11 Jun 2014, 15:37

There I am with my shopping at the bus stop. It's a nice day, so I am in shorts and sensible shoes having walked up there, when I am approached by some pupils from the local High school.

"Phwit, phwoo! Nice legs gran'dad."
"You thinks so? Thank you." I say to no-one in particular.
"Nah, not realy." says he.
"That's a shame, I was about to praise and congratulate you on your excellent good taste...... then I saw your hair."
"Eh?"
"We used to call that a 'Penis cut' because it was popular with Dick heads."

The girls in the group took great delight playing with the combinations of what could become his new nickname.

Love it - you go show them!

although sad isn't it - I'd probably be too scared to stand up to a bunch of teens.

Sometimes, if you do things jokingly and with a smile, they actually 'geddit' and join in. :D :D :D

Other times I inspect my shoes. :o

You were jolly fortunate WM, one of them could have pulled a knife on you. :(

 Good for you WM :D

Pederito, there is threatening behaviour, and then there are perfectly normal kids thinking they're being funny
A bunch of kids from school making smart remarks are not, generally speaking, going to be carrying a knife.
Whatever some of you seem to think, most teenagers are nice, funny, clever, yes may well make 'smart' remarks - as kids have always done.
I'm really fed up with the constant 'youth of today' criticism and no doubt so are others on here who have lovely, well-adjusted, nice to know teenage children of their own.

If Wm had thought he was in any kind of real trouble I'm quite sure he'd have acted differently - and most of us know the difference.
