Jeez...what an afternoon!
There I was, pootling in the garden, whiling away the time until I collected my friends from the airport at 4pm.
Wrong!
My mobile goes at 1.15 and it's Denise saying..hi, we've landed!
I got the time completely wrong!
Dash into the house avoiding any mirrors as I just know there's bits of twig in my hair, grab the car keys, go outside and of course...NO CAR!!!!
Jacob hasn't come home yet.
Flamin Nora!
I know..I'll borrow my neighbour's car.
Dash up to Antonio's house and yes, no problem..and off I go.
This is where the fun started.
It was a Fiat (no offence to Fiat owners) that I swear was made before the war..the Boer war!!
It had 2 speeds..slow and very slow.
The gears were shot to bits.
Just think Driving Miss Daisy.
Eventually get to the airport and more fun ensues.
Denise's hubby is a big chappie.
So there's Denise, hubby, daughter, 2 cases and 3 hand luggage..all to be squished into what is possibly the world's smallest car.
The journey home was very s.l.o.w.
