Winchester - any recommendations

I know Winchester well Ria, I go there a lot although I have never been to The Vine. It looks nice though.

Winchester is lovely for a day out. I don't think you will be disappointed Once you have done the shops and the Cathedral have a wander along the river to St Cross Hospital http://www.visitwinchester.co.uk/site/t ... do/p_16241 if it's a sunny day

Most of the shops are down the high street, start at the top by the old gate and work your way down to the statue of King Alfred You can't miss him he's hoooooge

Yay, thanks Loz We should be arriving at about 10.30am and the restaurant is booked for midday so we have some time to kill in the morning and no doubt will have a bit of a wander after lunch as well. At least now I have something to work with x
