I know Winchester well Ria, I go there a lot although I have never been to The Vine. It looks nice though.

Winchester is lovely for a day out. I don't think you will be disappointed :D Once you have done the shops and the Cathedral have a wander along the river to St Cross Hospital http://www.visitwinchester.co.uk/site/t ... do/p_16241 if it's a sunny day :D

Most of the shops are down the high street, start at the top by the old gate and work your way down to the statue of King Alfred :D You can't miss him he's hoooooge :lol:

Yay, thanks Loz :D We should be arriving at about 10.30am and the restaurant is booked for midday so we have some time to kill in the morning and no doubt will have a bit of a wander after lunch as well. At least now I have something to work with x
