Mine do Osc, but I take them out of the freezer about an hour or two before I need them as I am not a big fan of cooking things from frozen.

I'm tempted to try, because they're not quite like having pies/pastry. It won't cost much to have a go, with a one-egg batch of batter :)
So just make it thicker, as in less milk/water yes?
I never had a Findus one :D

Di, I made twenty-two for less than £6.

The batter is thick - less milk and water - I used three eggs altogether for the pancake mix.

At least if you make them yourself you can control what goes in = healthier. I do pies and pasties as well, but these go so well with a salad or coleslaw.

What goes in would always be healthier at home that's for sure :D
But what I meant was, these would be much fewer calories than pies as no fat. I shall try some one day this week and let you know how it goes :)

Btw, what I made yesterday might go in nicely. We had sort of Indian tapas for dinner (is there a word, like tapas/mezze? - if not there should be!) Anyway, I had l/over mashed potato and half a bag of spinach so made some yummy spiced potato/spinach/onion cakes, with mustard & cumin seeds, garlic, turmeric, chilli, garam masala and a squeeze of lemon :)

They look scrummy :D Because of all the different fillings you have WM, do you freeze the cooked filling? If you do that and then fill the pancakes with that filling, can you then freeze the whole thing again? I'm just thinking about the freezing, thawing and freezing thing :? :lol:

Hi Loz,

I make the fillings from fresh then make the pancakes and fill them straight away with the just cooked filling, only then do I freeze them.

I don't think refreezing some foods is that bad, from a health POV, but it does break down the molecules of some ingredients - I still wouldn't do it tho.

Shell, I once had a table we took round local horse shows when my ex was competing.......... :lol: :roll: :P

yum - I love savory pancakes. I usually have them with a creamy mushroom topping (which you wouldn't be able to freeze though). The Chilli Con Carne sounds delicious!
