Just thinking, but are people just trying too hard now? To be different, to have different things?

I used to hate the dressing up bit anyway, with the "bride" wearing silly stuff and having to do forfeits - and drinking stupid stuff too

Went to a friends do in Weston super Mud years ago and left them halfway through the evening, it just got far too silly - and some of the women were older than me

Yes it's all very competitive, and the feeling of being on show as having fun has taken over from actually having fun. Facebook probably has a bit to answer for, on that score :? ;)

thanks everyone - I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this whole thing is rather OTT.

apparently the model knows it's for a hen weekend - who knows. But I agree - I think it's totally demeaning as well

Trust me Debih - I am seriously tempted and just did.....

Monty had an anaesthetic yesterday and I needed to bring him back on Saturday; but given the hen weekend I made the appointment for tonight which mean leaving work early and rushing like a loony. So I've just called the vet, got a 09h10 appointment tomorrow morning and cancelled tonights. I do feel loads better now :)

Great thinking Ria! :D Really glad that you've got that sorted - I'd have been with Shell, running in the opposite direction! ;)
