What a horrendous start to their holiday Vic. I hope they're with you safe and sound very soon.

It reminds me of an afternoon and evening I spent texting with my lovely friend who was stuck on a delayed plane in Glasgow, waiting to fly to Spain with her husband and four children. It was very hot inside the plane as obviously the air conditioning wouldn't work with the engines turned off and they were being sold small bottles of water at £3.50 a bottle :(

Oh horrible Vic, can't imagine it with a small child :(
The first time I flew abroad - on my own - arrived at Gatwick for 10pm flight to be told would be 7am
But the getting on and off and being messed around, is much worse

Hopefully in a day or so all this will be forgotten :)

A sad start and I hope they soon recover. Due to you know who I had to watch a ghastly american TV programme once I think either La Law or Ally McBeal in which one of their lawyers got stuck for ages in an aeroplane on a taxiway and he phoned a judge and got an immediate injunction to disembark! That had them. :D

victor wrote:who do you claim from though

airline not their fault if airport had power cut?

airport? not their fault if damage done by workmen?

passenger claim against airline who claim against airport who claim against construction firm??

:(

if they have travel insurance then delays may be covered? In which case claim from insurance and leave it for them to figure out who to get the money back from

Hope they arrived safely and have a lovely holiday
