That sounds lovely Di - especially the prospect of a lamb curry
Thanks Osc, the day has been a bit of a mixed bag really
The dentist went well, although I ahve to go back in ten days for the actual bridge being fitted. The new dentist is nice too, I was a bit worried about that as the old one, who left in August, was really nice and patient with me.
Oh and I got some fab new shoe boots in Clarks!
The mooch however didn't go so well - first of all a really grumpy man was a bit rude to me in Nero's. He was sat near the window taking up a whole cluster of an armchair and sofa combo that would seat 4 or 5 at least. The place was full so I asked if me minded if I sat on the sofa and he said "I
suppose not!" in a really snotty tone of voice, letting me know he wasn't at all pleased, which I must admit really took me aback. Not being funny but middle-aged and older men tend to be polite and nice to me when I'm out and about usually..............
As soon as the lady at the next window seat moved I moved to her seat and turned my back on the grumpy old b*gger
Then on the bus on the way home as I was getting off an old lady asked me to tell the driver that she was also getitng off, I guess in case he pulled away too soon, and I did so and he bit my head off "Yes, I
did see her!"
"Sorry" said I "but the lady asked me to tell you........."
I think I'm losing my touch.................
Then worst of the lot, I got home to a letter from the DWP telling me they've put my pension age back yet again, from 65 to 66 this time.....................
Not been the best of days really...............
