A rant for the morning.....

Postby meriad » 06 Aug 2013, 08:19

On the train to work this morning the girl sitting next to me was sniffing quite badly; so I offered her a tissue - to which she replied: "Oh, no thank you, I'm good thank you". I obviously figured she'd dig out a tissue from her bag and blow her nose - but how wrong was I?

Can you believe she sniffed and snuffled the rest of the journey to Waterloo?????????? gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

My daughter says "I'm good thank you" too. Where did this come from??? Hate the expression.

Yup, she had an American accent. Dare I admit that I use that phrase as well at time    - probably comes from working in an american company and largely with Americans for too many years ;)
