Wm none of that works for me.
The Avon stuff does help some people but not me, or not enough anyway, and tbh it's safer to spray with the proper stuff if you get a bad reaction, then you know how many hours it's meant to last.
Oh and close the bedroom window until just before you go to bed, otherwise they come in all evening and hide till you're asleep!
The only spray my gp recommends is Boots Jungle Formula, in the grey aerosol can; at the moment it's buy one, get one half price so well worth it. Once she saw how extreme the reaction is on me she understood!
And then plain hydrocortisone cream, you can buy it over the counter, is for if you get bitten. The cream will stop it swelling and itching, the sooner you put it on the better. The second you feel an itch, it will be a tiny little bump, that's when to put it on, but even if it's got a bit bigger it will still make a huge difference.
Ton it's not like an itch-relief cream, they don't do b*gger all either.
