Bowl of home made fruit cocktail - tinned grapefruit, pineapple chunks and peach slices, fresh melon, apple and red grapes. Sometimes porridge, Sometimes toast and butter. Sometimes all three. :o  Always 2 cups of strong black coffee.

Melon, porridge made with 1/3 soya milk, 2/3 water and sprinkled with cinnamon, home made white scone with Flora and honey, and a cup of Earl Grey tea. It rarely changes, although on an occasional Sunday I might have a cinnamon raisin bagel instead of the scone.

Always, every day, summer and winter, I make a bowl of porridge in the microwave (it comes out perfect, and I don't use Oats So Simple or anything like that), and a cup of coffee.

If I ever don't feel like it, then there's something wrong with me

Ok, please all porridge eaters, please please don't shoot me down for this.

The kids have porridge every morning, but it's only made once a week. We make up a big batch with water, brown sugar, and tinned apple pie filling. We then portion it out into daily breakfast portions, and freeze it. Each day, I just grab one out of the freezer, stick it in the microwave to reheat. If needed, I mix a bit of the hot water from the jug that's been boiled from my coffee to make it sloppy.

For me, I have 3 weetbix as I can eat it in 2 minutes flat, and that's all I usually have time for and it has to keep me filled up till lunchtime.
Everything happens for a reason

I'm not particularly keen on eating breakfast though, lately, I have been making the effort to try and eat something.

I'll usually have a banana or scrambled egg or porridge.

Weka when we had our cabin a lot of those who lived their all year round would make up huge pots of porridge and then turn them out to set in drawers and wouldn't bother to freeze it, just eating it until it ran out.
I know years ago my granny always made huge amounts, left it to set then cut off portions as required.
