Please, Liz, let me form a a government, pretty please. I have the Duppies on side, sometimes. I am scrupulously honest, when I am not lying through my teeth and playing fast and lose with the law and, honestly, you do not really want that wild haired BoJo calling round to keep you updated. Think of the photo shoots.

Yes, we can't have Boris nipping round to the Palace, trying it on with Princess Anne.

I agree with you about the way Hague regularly used to skewer people in the HoC Suff, he was a very good debater.

He just seemed to lose the will. It was a great pity.

I wonder if there will be a promotion for Ruth Davidson. I hope so.

Unlikely. Whilst success is it's own kind of reference; she stood against a lot of policies in order to win her seats. As the leader of the Scots section of the Tories she did well. However if they didn't like Haig for his accent, what would they make of Davidson?

Ruth Davidson made it pretty clear early on Friday she wasn't interested in the Tory leadership position.

Her view was that she still had a lot of SNP butt to kick in the Scottish Parliament and was more than happy to carry on with that .... :D
