Morning
Beautiful here, lovely and bright and sunny - still cold, but so much nicer than rain.
And yes Kaz, back to colder, very windy and more rain apparently
Well, I was supposed to be joining the unfeasibly-excited-at-new-appliance club, but I'm not
I'd had the money saved up for a new washer dryer for ages, but not got around to looking.
The old one I bought for Bb's flat, so 13 years ago; it's still working, albeit sometimes reluctantly, and I'm never good at getting rid of anything while it still functions.
Anyway, on our little holiday there was a brand spanking new washer dryer, so I gave it a go and was amazed at how clean Minnie's towel was after just a quick wash, so was then on a mission
The one there was gunmetal colour, and not available in white, so I spent ages comparing and reading reviews and finally decided.
And bought through AO since everyone said how good they are...and they are, with the time slot
I paid for the old one to be disconnected and removed, and the new one installed.
We cleared the hall and the cupboard under the sink, so they could get to the pipes easily.
They came, they looked, they said, Can't do that
He - the one doing it - said, oh no, it's got a hot fill attached, and the pipes are plastic, and that's been done up with pliers, and if I twist that and it cracks and leaks we're not responsible...basically it sounded like a load of tosh and he couldn't be bothered and wanted to get home to Wales
They wanted to leave the machine (where exactly?!) and us to get a plumber
Err, no thanks, we could have done that in the first place, probably cheaper!
So they took it away again and cancelled the order
So Bb went on Currys website, found a couple for me to look at and now they're coming on Sunday - will let you know
