Off to town later, after Grumpy has a hair-cut, need to get some fencing and see Sonia and also get a few bits and bobs from Pingo Dice.

Morning all :)

Have fun shopping Ally :D

Morning Vic, BNS is a huge station isn't it? xx

Ton, Happy Haircut to Grumpy :D

Well it looks fine here today, hoping to make the most of it as it's looking cold again for later in the week. Zumba shortly, with Becky, and then later I'm taking H to get some new boots, he's doing work experience in a garage this Spring and needs steel capped boots :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning :)

Beautiful here, lovely and bright and sunny - still cold, but so much nicer than rain.
And yes Kaz, back to colder, very windy and more rain apparently

Well, I was supposed to be joining the unfeasibly-excited-at-new-appliance club, but I'm not :(
I'd had the money saved up for a new washer dryer for ages, but not got around to looking.
The old one I bought for Bb's flat, so 13 years ago; it's still working, albeit sometimes reluctantly, and I'm never good at getting rid of anything while it still functions.
Anyway, on our little holiday there was a brand spanking new washer dryer, so I gave it a go and was amazed at how clean Minnie's towel was after just a quick wash, so was then on a mission :D
The one there was gunmetal colour, and not available in white, so I spent ages comparing and reading reviews and finally decided.
And bought through AO since everyone said how good they are...and they are, with the time slot :?
I paid for the old one to be disconnected and removed, and the new one installed.
We cleared the hall and the cupboard under the sink, so they could get to the pipes easily.

They came, they looked, they said, Can't do that
He - the one doing it - said, oh no, it's got a hot fill attached, and the pipes are plastic, and that's been done up with pliers, and if I twist that and it cracks and leaks we're not responsible...basically it sounded like a load of tosh and he couldn't be bothered and wanted to get home to Wales
They wanted to leave the machine (where exactly?!) and us to get a plumber :P
Err, no thanks, we could have done that in the first place, probably cheaper!
So they took it away again and cancelled the order

So Bb went on Currys website, found a couple for me to look at and now they're coming on Sunday - will let you know ;) :D

Morning all

Vic, the larger stations can be a nightmare for people who don't speak a lot of English, not helped by the fact that the voices over the tannoy usually are so distorted that you can't make out what they're saying. Hope you managed to get the train OK?

Kaz, Ton and Ally - enjoy your respective days pootling and shopping.
Gosh Di, that sounds a bit odd. I know my very first washing machine had a hot and cold inlet but all other ones since have been cold only. But what kind of pipe is he expecting if not plastic. They're the same material; red one for hot water and blue one for cold water???? Hopefully the Currys guys are better. But contact AO and check with them because it's really not the type of service they usually offer and if the guys aren't doing what they're meant to do then AO should be aware I'd have thought?

Usual work day and evening for me so nothing exciting to report

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here at the moment :D

Definitely call ao and complain Di, we've always found them excellent so I'm sure they will want to know if their service has fallen short.

We're off to the cinema to see Batman v Superman this afternoon. Not sure what to expect as the reviews are mixed, but if there's lots of action we'll probably enjoy it.

Hope you all have a good day :D
