Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 25 Jan 2016, 07:27

Good morning.

We were woken at 5.22 this morning by an earthquake tremor.

We leapt up out of bed as the windows were rattling and there was a strange noise.

Lying in bed afterwards chatting we were hit by an aftershock 15 minutes later - it was a bit like being on a boat.

Just had a look round everywhere and all looks ok.

Just copied and pasted this from the internet. ::

"""A strong 6.6-magnitude earthquake has struck the Mediterranean between Morocco and Spain, the US Geological Survey has said.

The 20-mile deep quake hit at 4:22am, 39 miles north of the Moroccan city of Al Hoceima and 102 miles east-southeast of Gibraltar, USGS said.

It was followed by six aftershocks including a 5.3-magnitude tremor.

Tremors and aftershocks were felt throughout the area including in the cities of Malaga, Cordoba, Seville and Granada."""

I'm off for a strong coffee...........

Have a good day everyone.

 Woah Ally, that sounds alarming, to say the least! :? I'm sure you were ready for that coffee!!!! I hope that was it, and no more are on the cards :? :( xxxxx

Morning everyone :) Not going to WW this morning as I had an awful night's sleep with a very bad bout of reflux and hardly slept, That means no zumba too, but can't be helped, I am absolutely shattered  Stuff to do around here if I can find the energy later, and I'll probably manage a gentle walk later - B is off today so I might go with her and the dogs this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone :) xxxx

Morning you two

That's not quite the way one wants to wake up Ally - glad all is OK your end. Haven't seen the news yet - hope there was no major damage / loss of life / injury anywhere? Ally, do me a favour and be careful today - animals have a 6th sense x

Kaz, WW and Zumba can wait, your health is more important; take it easy today
Usual work day and quiet evening at home for me - a lovely sunny day expected and the days definitely are staying light longer - fab

have a lovely day all x

Good morning Monday

Postby debih » 25 Jan 2016, 09:34

Morning all. I'm still in bed. I've had two bad nights sleep and as I am off work today Mick woke the girls off before he left so I slept through. I've just woken up.

Lazy day planned. I have no car (in the garage) so I'm not going far anyway.

Mick is away tonight and S is staying at my mums so she can get to her kick boxing class so it's just L and I. L is cooking - she's practicing for her school cookery assessment on Wednesday - she's chosen to do spinach and ricotta cannelloni with garlic bread.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Gosh Ally that sounds scary, hope you don't get any more tremors.

Hope you feel better soon Kaz x

Spinach and ricotta cannelloni with garlic bread sounds lovely debih, good luck to L for Wednesday.

Our new freezer is currently holding one tray of ice cubes so we're off out after brekkie to get some food to put in it. Oh and we need fresh veggies and fruit too, we've been doing the healthy eating thing since New Year (needed to after all the Christmas excess) and we're going through tons of the stuff. I've also been making lots of veggie soup in my new soup maker, yummy, definitely a good buy.

No other plans, if the weather stays nice we might have a walk round the harbour later.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, pleasant morning here. I am off into town as I want to go to a big M&S for some velvet jeans - I bought two pairs last year and the most worn pair has definitely shrunk, I have only put on about three lbs in weight since then so it's not me  Also want to get a few other bits and pieces. Mr Osc is going to play golf. Scary start to the day for you Ally, I remember a tremor here many years ago, it was like a steamroller had gone down the street outside and everything shook. Hope there are no more aftershocks. Have a good day everyone :)
