Morning all, it was pouring rain when we got up but has cleared away now to sunny and breezy, although I think more rain is forecast. H/worky stuff this morning, then hairdresser this afternoon, which I always enjoy. Really liked being back driving yesterday, felt like a step forward (pardon the pun  ) Hugs for Mick and his family, Kaz. Have a good day everyone :)

Good morning - the storm blew itself out quite quickly after midnight, here, but during the evening strong gusts kept interfering with our gas boiler flue and safety devices kept cutting in, which was a bit of a pain.

Just back from taking Mrs O to the dentist. It took 20 minutes to travel just over a mile, horrendous traffic, and I had to mount an impromptu detour to avoid the queues. The morning traffic does seem to have got a lot worse recently, apparently there had been an unspecified accident somewhere, but also there is a (slightly) reduced train service on our line in the leaf-fall season, so of course all the commuters abandon the railway and head for their cars ...

When we got to the dentist, no-one else had managed to make it, so Mrs O got straight in - I walked into the shopping centre, did M&S for croissants and vegetable moussaka and chocolate mousses (meece? :D ), then sneaked into McDonalds for a bacon sandwich and coffee, before returning to the car at the dentists where Mrs O was waiting for me.

Was halfway through making a pitch for a breakfast butty when Mrs O's eyes narrowed and she said "you've got ketchup on your mouth ...."

That properly scuppered the Ostrich's plan, didn't it?

Afternoon! :)
Would have made it for morning but big traffic problems here too, the lights are all out in the town centre
They're out working on them but temporary lights and big queues everywhere.
I went early to try and beat the rain, which I did, but my goodness it's windy! :o :D

That was a lucky escape Kaz, I used to worry every time there were high winds when Bb was driving through the Forest all the time.
Osc so glad you're back driving, at least you can now get to places to hobble round x
Gal if you'd 'love' to try it, then yes it's an excuse, just go! - plenty of others will be going on their own I'm sure :)
Hope the funeral went ok, not a bad thing to be straight to work (((x)))
Ossie!!! Bad enough to have croissants in your basket, never mind trying for a double breakfast!
Hope the rest of the day goes well
x
