Another early good morning

Postby tonicha » 31 Jan 2013, 06:53

Morning everyone

Had to set 2 alarms this morning  and it's still dark outside. But supposed to be gorgeous again, once the sun comes out.

Off to the hospital again - Loz, perhaps we could share the camp-bed? - and then do a spot of shopping on the way back.

We'll be going away for a few days next week - hurrah :D :D - so won't need too much.

Eye looking good this morning, if a trifle puffy, but that will go.

Hope you all have a good day and hugs to you all because you're lovely xxxx

Morning Ton, your typings a bit better this morning... So taking that as a sign that your eye is feeling good. :) good luck at the hosp today.

Folks, in future, remind me never to take a 2 & 3 year old shopping again??!!
If they weren't running through the aisles egging each other on, the were fighting like cats and dogs in their double pushchair.

However on a positive note, master o wore knickers and trousers out, and they came home dry. He even used a adults public toilet. Go my little man! (Cue the Pom Pom waving dancing girls) and I had been told that 2years old was too early for boys. Just have to convince him now to go ALL at once, not like a puppy dog marking his territory, a bit here and a bit later then a bit more... He must have good muscle control

I got him out of his cot this morning and he had a soft toy on his back and he said, look mum, I'm a turtle! Then wanted said toy to remain on his back, so I stuffed it up his pjs.

Got home from shopping and Sasha said, look at this mum, and it was the biggest deepest thorn you have ever seen lodged in the top of her big toe. Happened last night sometime and hubby thought it was a pen mark when he saw it (which to be fair is what I thought too to start with, of it wasn't for the fact that her toe was going red I would have dismissed it). So out came needle and twizers, with no luck, so call to the doctors. Up there at 3 and it took me, the nurse and the doctor to get it out. Two of us pinning her and the doctor "operating" There is still a wee bit in, but she is hopeful that the body will absorb it, if not, scalpel time. :o even the doc was a bit puzzled at the first how to get it out. Poor Sasha SCREAMED for about 30 mins. 20 of them after they had done it. but it's out now, and she says it feels much better. Why she left it to the afternoon to tell me I don't know. I did see her walking a few steps on the side of her foot and thought it odd, but next time she walked fine, so I dismissed it.
Anyway, enough of my novel,

Have a good day all

Morning :)
Wish I could say it's gorgeous here but no, very heavy rain most of the night, it's more or less stopped now so hopefully that's it.

Ton good luck at the hospital, glad the eye looks ok. Also pleased you're going away next week :)
Weka poor little Miss, I don't blame her for screaming! Hope it's now ok.

Well I was awake a lot, gave in and got up soon after 6...Minnie is just the same, didn't even come to lay with me by the sofa. I shall be ringing the vets as soon as they open. Really wish she could tell us what's wrong

Good morning :D

I was awake very early too...it was too warm in our room.
It's the third night in a row so methinks it's time the duvet came off the bed. :D

Beautiful warm day forecast again. 8-)

I'm working today 1-4 and then meeting a friend for a bite to eat by the beach. 8-) 8-)

Then coming back to meet Don in town..to buy paint for Jacob's room. I feel brave enough to tackle that job this weekend.

I might have to have a couple of beers just to top up my braveness level though..just to be sure.

Enjoy the day everyone and vibes for Ton.

Morning all. Damp and miserable here.

I'm off to work this morning for a meeting and then home to make cottage pies. One for us and one for Micks parents who arrive back from New Zealand tomorrow after their 3 month trip. I am hoping they don't arrive home until late as I will have their car until around tea time.

And thats it for me for the day!

Morning everyone :)

Di I hope Minnie gets on ok at the vets - thinking of you both {{{{{{{x}}}}}}}}

Ton great news about your eye, good luck at the follow up appt later xxxx

Weka, O sounds such a character :D Loving the turtle! Brilliant news about the toilet training, and as you've discovered for yourself it doesn't do to generalise over the boy/girl thing too much as they are all individuals 8-) Poor little S, hope her toe is better today xxxxx

Ally lunch by the beach sounds like heaven, have a great time :D :D

Well it's not raining here, and that's about the best I can say about it  Mick has a week offf work, annual leave to use up, which is nice :D No special plans as such, but I'm sure we'll have the odd day out together which will be lovely :D 8-)

WW tonight - not looking forward to it, I am still having trouble reconciling the new wheat and dairy free diet with WW propoints :? Have to go though as B wants to, and I need to be supportive of her............

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all :D

Glad it went well yesterday Ton x

Poor Sasha weka, sounds quite traumatic for her. Well done master O 8-)

Loads to do today. Popping over to see mother this morning and hoping she's in a reasonably cheerful mood for the last visit before we go away. The CH manager and I have decided not to tell her we'll be away for a whole month, she forgets what's been said almost immediately so it would only cause a needless upset. I'll be keeping in touch with them via e-mail and text and eldest daughter, who lives closest, will ring them regularly and pop over a couple of times while we're away.

This afternoon it's the packing, and no I haven't even started. Our flight isn't til Saturday morning, but we're going tomorrow lunch time and spending the night in an airport hotel........last minute annie indeed

Hope you all have a good day :D
