Kaz, sure, I'll get the passports sorted, but in my experience the mess more than they clean

Di, quiet day only meant doing half the washing, all 5 full loads.

Good morning all.

It's lovely here this morning. Just back from having a short back and sides at the barbers,
and doing a bit of top-up shopping.

Ally - If you don't know what to do with all those pears, you can send them to me - I love 'em.

We might pop out this afternoon and get a few more plants for our adopted garden.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Good luck this afternoon Kaz x

All of you energetic peeps are welcome to come here and help with our packing  We tried not to unpack too much when we came here knowing it would be temporary, but after almost a year, I bet there's more to repack than we think  Panicking a little bit about where we're going to put it all in the bungalow until we work on the storage (or lack of) situation, have a feeling a lot of it will end up in the garage for a while :?

Hope you all have a good day :D

Right at the end of Baker Street (Regent's Park end) is where I was. You had 221b Baker Street (always choc-a-bloc with Japanese tourists  ) then the Abbey National building society was next then a pub.
Turn the corner right there and it was Park Road - the dental practise I worked at was number 7 in the most beautiful 5 storey house. We were on the second floor looking right into Regent's Park.

I recently googled (aka being nosey  ) at what the house might be worth and it said £1,570,000. :o :o

I know Roger the owner bought it outright for a song in the 1970s!

I think we've realised before we worked right near each other, but you were later?
Think I left there in '78 or '79...gosh it's a long time ago! :D

We had a netball team, we used to play in regents park :)

You two (Ally and Di) worked in the posh part of London, I was in a gigantic government building on the borders of grimy old Acton/Shepherd's Bush  :P   That's now been made into posh flats though  I saw them advertised in the S Times property supplement a few years ago, apparently it is no longer so grotty and grimy :P

The interview went well, I've made a new post about it. Thanks everyone :)

Funnily enough, I spent quite a lot of time in East Acton. I worked in insolvency, one of our liquidations was out there :)
