But last week Gal, we were saying how lovely it would be without the freezing wind

We found this place for lunch today, it's just around the corner from where the (very few) shops end, so wouldn't have known without tripadvisor
here

It was lovely, a really good, proper pub, several draught beers, draught cider, every member of staff spoke to us and was genuinely friendly, all homemade food and good value

LOL - Di, I like your thinking and that is sort of what I did. Got off the bed and pottered about outside; that way I couldn't see the windows. But they will have to be cleaned sooner rather than later sadly

Rather grey and windy here this morning as well; such a change from yesterday But just hope the weather holds for the weekend; we're having a BBQ tomorrow and then I'm helping out all day at Wildlife Aid (them of the Wildlife SOS TV programme). It's their annual open day and I'm manning the bric-a-brac stall. Always good fun and for a very good cause - but dry warm(ish) weather would be great as that gets more people to visit
