I am ok, but thank you.

I just posted one of those little sayings about if you had not met one person how different your life would be and I commented that had I had a "normal' child I wouldn't know the wonderful people I do. My friend and her daughter, interestingly the only two that either don't have a child with disabilities or (despite what out of work nursery nurse Danielle would have you believe) do not work in the world of special needs, took huge and I mean huge exception to the word 'normal"

It was a complete attack. I didn't reply and they just posted post after post about how insulting the word normal is, how it was disgusting, how I thought I was better than them, blah blah blah

The bit that made me laugh was when Danielle said "I am leaving the conversation now it is petty" I was tempted to say, its not a conversation. A conversation needs more than one person talking.

Plus for a nursery nurse her spelling was atrocious

But on the plus side I have had some lovely comments on there, and off Facebook a lot of people have contacted me to see if all is ok.

They were totally out of line Shell, and really it was rather odd! I mean I have used the term 'normal' myself, in the past, when taking about Harry's special needs and how different he could be to other children. It just means 'of the norm' which clearly children with special needs are not. It's what makes them special.

Stupid women (((((((((((((((x)))))))))))))))))))))

I know Kaz, as you probably saw in my final post about the word normal - well they're not normal are they? They are different and special

In a way I wish I hadn't defriended Danielle as I would have loved to have seen what she put next, but I felt I had no choice. I am not sitting back and taking that sort of behaviour.

I am a bit hurt her mum, Kim joined in as much she did. I would never let my daughter speak to a friend of mine like that. That comment from Kim is as near as I am going to get to an apology and as for her final comment about how there is always someone worse off than yourself, jeez, I wanted to put "cut the sanctimonious rubbish love"
