It is only one car wide. On the top side of the wall is woodland belonging to Heughts of Abraham and the lower side is houses.
It's the lane up to our little hamlet. Matlock Bath is actually on the A6 - the man road. As you drive through on one side you have the river and on the other side is steep hillside with houses on. Most of the lanes going up are single track with no pavements.
The part where the tree has come down is one of the wider parts of our lane. We have one section with a house on either side where you can't get anything wider than an old style transit through.
