Good Morning Thursday

Postby tonicha » 18 Dec 2014, 06:32

Morning everyone

It's dark and cold but I'll be out there soon

After the doc's I'll probably pop down to the village and get the usual losing lotto ticket and a few other bits and bobs.

Then it's just pootling - stew already done for dinner, so might just sit and read :D :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ton, morning everyone. :)

Boring Brenda reporting another day of sunshine. 8-)

Today is my last day at work until January 7th. :x :x :x

The staff are dressing up so today I will be mostly looking like a Christmas tree. I have a red and cream dress with little xmassy motifs on it, cream tights, red pixie boots, tree baubles for earrings, a Santa hat and lashing of tinsel draped round me.

I won't go over the top though - don't want to look daft.

Going food shopping this morning first..although normal clothing attire will be worn.

Have a great day everyone. :D

   Ally - love the sound of that outfit. Please please get someone to take a photo and put it up on the photoboard - please! :P :P :P

Ton, pootling about and stew for dinner sounds like a perfect day for me. I've been craving stew for some time but just haven't had time to get to the butcher to get some good meat for one. But I'm determined to get some this weekend

Usual work day for me today, then home tonight and try and get my car to the garage. Thankfully my lovely neighbour has offered to follow me in case it breaks down but fingers crossed we'll get there in one go and we won't be back home too late because I've also still got to make up the beds for Frank and Claudia (my brother and his daughter); they are due to arrive from Germany about 1am tonight / tomorrow morning and do a quick clean up around the house....

Vibes and (((hugs))) for those that need them

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever it is you're up to x

Morning all

hope those with grey skies (myself included) wake up to sunshine soon.
Ally I'd love to see that outfit

A bit of an up and down day here. The storm has passed, and the day got warmer. yesterday we barely made 16, today we started out that way but were up to 22 by the end of the day, oh and humid as the tropics.

The day started at 7:30am with the builder arriving to install the vanity in our downstairs bathroom, followed minutes later by the plumber to install all the taps, shower rose, toilet etc... then the electrician arrived at 1 to finish the wiring up, and the builder came back at 3 to put up the towel racks and toilet roll holder. Tomorrow's job is to finish sanding down the windows and start varnishing them. I keep going to do it this week and last, but someone or the other arrives and leaves wet grouting/waterproofing/silcone etc so I can't put lots of dust into the air. Once the windows are done, phew, the bathroom is finished. I'm so excited. :P

Oliver was suppose to go to butterfly creek on a preschool trip today, but unfortunately due to the weather, that was changed to inflatable world (giant bouncy castle type set up) and sounds like they had a blast, even though it wasn't the butterfly's and crocodiles they were looking forward to.

Hubby went to a specialist today, it sounds like he has some type of auto immune disease, but they don't know which one yet. today he's had more blood tests, and some xrays, but will probably need an MRI as well. Looks like our annus horribilis for health continues. :( :x

Sasha has finished school for the year. No more school for her now until Feb. She has spent the day today feeling like a third wheel and at a loss to know what to do with herself.

Sasha informed me this morning that it was 7 days to Christmas. I looked at the calendar and  'ed my self. Thankfully they are going to the grandparents on sunday, so Hubby and I will be hurriedly finishing the shopping etc.

oh and I mowed the lawns tonight. I was tempted to take a photo say'ing "Just out making hay" but I thought people might believe me. :o It was long enough, and I could use some hay....hmmm.....

Good morning all.

I have a busy day planned. -- Getting ready for my Golden Oldies Music Night this evening,
wrapping up my wife's presents, deciding what I'm going to take on our holiday next week,
to name but a few.

Hope you all are OK. Have a good day.

Morning all :)

Good luck at the docs Ton xxx

Been up ages waiting for a delivery. The very old fridge (was mother's and had sat in the garage for over 7yrs) conked out yesterday so decided to order a cheap one from Appliances Online. It's annoying really because we probably won't need it when we finally move, but as that's realistically not going to happen much before the spring, needs must and all that. To be fair the old one was pretty useless, didn't matter what I set it on everything froze so it was impossible to stock it up. AO were brilliant, I ordered at 1pm yesterday and they promised an e-mail with a 4hr delivery slot for today. The text came at 7am to say it would be with us before 9 and sure enough it arrived at 8.30. Can't fault that for service. Now just got to wait 4hrs apparently for it to settle before switching on and then we can do a 'proper' shop :D :D :D

Hope you all have a good day :)
