There's cheating and there's cheating.

Coming home on the bus I noticed a man with the crossword page from one of the broadsheets open. He would look at the clue and think a while, then he would tap into his smatrphone; a short time later he would fill in the answer. This he did a number of times. When he got off the bus he ostentatiously left the paper, crossword side up, on his seat.

Hoiw times have changed! I can remember people (me) doing yesterday's crossword in record time and then leaving it lying about.

I do a cryptic crossword most days, it's helping prevent my braincell from dying of loneliness

I have also been known to cheat - but I have to do it the old-fashioned way and use a dictionary
