I have been in A&E since 9:30 this morning due to my leg giving me gip. I didn't sleep last night because it was so sore and swollen. It turns out that I have a blood clot and it is down to the car accident.

I have had an injection of something beginning with T and I have to go for a scan tomorrow to find out where the blood clot is. Once they know where, and how big, they can then decide what to do.

I noticed some swelling on Friday, but last night it looked so much worse. I measured my good leg around the calf and it was 16 and 3/4 inches. The swollen calf was 18 1/2 inches and the pain was out of this world, the trouble was that I could not face A&E at 11pm on a Saturday night. I am so glad I went today, though, at least I now know.
