We're having a party!

Postby Diflower » 03 Dec 2014, 22:54

About this time last year, our little road was supposed to have a joint party, but for a couple of very legitimate reasons it didn't happen.
We and a couple of others did go to next door on Christmas Eve - a very memorable evening ;)
We've also all been to J & B over the road, the ones who looked after Minnie when Bb and I went to London, for various things over the past few years.

Anyway, we decided to Just Do It :)
Thought we'd sound people out for the Sunday before Christmas and see who might be here.
So this morning Bb caught P next door, she and her (relatively new) bloke will be around; J & B too. On his way back in tonight he stopped at the couple over our back garden and they're in too :D
That's eight; then there's S, next-door-but-one, not asked him yet; next door the other side (young kids but might take it in turns) - and of course the famous Andy along the road, not sure if I'm being over-ambitious here ;)

We have six bottles of Champagne just crying out for a party, and today I've ordered a new shouty board game and the 'Now' party cd set :D
Oh, and the big pack of chicken breasts I bought for last year's non-event are still in the freezer ;)
I may not have done much Christmas shopping, but now I'm getting a bit excited - we're having a Party! :D :P :P :P :D :D

As I was reading down the list I wondered if Andy was invited! :D

That all sounds like it'll be a lot of fun! :P :P

We're overdue a night out here. We've not had one for a year! Saying that though, one of the neighbours who comes out had a baby earlier in the year so I think we kind of let it lapse while she was pregnant.

We're planning on going to the hotel around the corner again on Christmas Eve though. John and I went last year, just for a quick drink, and ended up staying late. One of our neighbours co-owns it so he and his girlfriend were there as were the N, R and their children from opposite - we then felt guilty about leaving Tom and Joe at home because they're good friends with N&R's kids, not sure what Tom's doing this year but Joe's coming with us :)

Living in a block of retirement apartments, which is now almost 100% occupied, we have lots of
celebrations going on this month - several birthday events as well as the Christmas celebrations.

One certainly doesn't get bored here.

All we need now are a few dancing girls.

:P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

THAT'S BETTER.
