Coffee! I knew something was missing, must make a cup :)

Kaz it's always veggie of one sort or another :).
Only got one carrot left, but have a couple of onions and plenty of potatoes. Lidl do a really good big bag of frozen 'vegetables for soup and there's half of that left so will use that with a bit of onion and potato, then partly whizz it so it will be thickish but with bits in :)
And the bread made yesterday is granary ;)

Morning all. Still lots of snow around here, so Mr L has been clearing the drive.
Soup here too today, leftover smoked bacon and lentil soup from yesterday :D

Morning all :D

Still lots of snow here, but no more since yesterday afternoon. Mr.J said it was pretty lethal walking round to get the papers though, so think I'll stay indoors today.........again. Beginning to feel like a tortoise

We're making do with stuff from the freezer at the moment. Luckily I have some nice minced beef so it'll be chilli later.

Hope you all have a good day and stay safe :D

Afternoon all, it's dull dreary and damp here, and rained all night, but isn't as cold as yesterday when we had very strong and very cold winds. Our weather is fluctuating and the forecasters don't know what to say because the two opposing weather fronts keep moving in different directions - one from the Atlantic moving eastwards and the one that's giving you all the snow moving westwards. There is snow in Wicklow and in Northern Ireland I think, but so far none here.

I've done quite a bit this morning, pot of soup simmering away nicely (carrot and butternut squash), all the ironing done, a load of books sorted out for the charity shop. We are going to a 21st tonight, so will have to titivate myself later on. Have a good day everyone, take care if you are out and about, and stay warm if you are at home :)

That sounds absolutely delicious Di, I'm on my way but I'm on foot so may be some time

Well we made it to Sainsbury's and back, got what we needed, had a nice hot cuppa at the cafe up there too 8-) Peps has had her run now as well, so we are settling down for an afternoon in front of the telly :D

Afternoon all! It's started snowing again and the children off the close, including Joe, are clearing the road. They've also done the driveway up to the show house and sales office - they have an ulterior motive though, the snow they clear is being loaded into wheelbarrows and dumped in the back garden of Nicki and Rich, parents of three of them, and I think they're going to have an igloo in their garden for the foreseeable future

I've been for a hair cut and managed to stock up on everything I couldn't get the other night so we're all sorted now. A little later John and I are going to walk to my Mom and Dad's which is about two miles away, I think I'll be clinging to him as the paths are icy in places.
