Ed Sheeran

Postby Osc » 29 Nov 2014, 20:47

These days I am fairly out of touch with pop music, although I was aware of Ed Sheeran, I don't know any of his music.

Last night was the Late Late Toy Show, an institution here where they look at all the different toys available for Christmas. It was a great show, the best for quite a few years. It features young people reviewing the toys, dancing, singing and generally having lots of fun. Towards the end of the show a young girl called Aimee (aged maybe 12?) was demonstrating something called SingStar, like a karaoke machine. She was singing along to Ed Sheeran when he walked up behind her - well as you will see from the video her reaction was wonderful. But what really impressed me was the lovely way he was with her, so sweet and gentle. What an extremely nice young man he seems to be, very natural and normal. If your eyes are still dry after watching this, I will be very surprised. It doesn't cost much to be nice and give a young girl an experience she will remember all her life, because her idol was so kind to her. Hope the link works ok.

He is a very nice young man. I read an article in a magazine recently, where he sang to a young girl as she lay dying from CF. It was extremely moving......

His music is great! I think he is an extremely talented young man, and clearly very compassionate as well :)

Oh my just how amazing was that :D i'm sitting here with a big grin on my face; what a lovely chap

His current song "Thinking out loud" always makes me giggle - well the one line of it. It's the bit where he sings: And, darling, I will be loving you 'til we're 70

I always wonder what he's got planned after 70? :)

We bought a new "kindle" box , for the TV , and we got a free video download of Ed , doing a very small concert , with Q and A at the end.
He is a genuine nice guy
