Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 26 Nov 2014, 06:31

Good morning. :D

Still dark at the moment but another lovely day forecast. 8-)

My trainers are on so I'm guessing I'll go for a quick run.

Eduardo (hairdresser) is coming round to cut my hair at 11am. :D :D

Work 4 - 8. :D

Jacob's culinary creation this evening will involve peppers, chicken and pasta so I've been told.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning Ally :) I'm considering whether to have mine cut or grow it a bit - thing is that it's at that awkward in between stage right now, so I might just give in and have it chopped

Morning everyone :) We've slept in a bit as we had a bit of a restless night. It looks murky out there again, but it is November in the West Country so fairly normal ;)

Hope everyone has a good day :) xxxx

Morning all. Wet and miserable here.

Feeling really low today. I think everything is getting on top of me. I said to a friend yesterday that I felt like I was just keeping my head above water. I have lots of things that I am trying to juggle and it feels like they are all about to come crashing down around my ears.

It isn't helped that I am minuting at a big meeting today, which I sent all the papers out for last week and yesterday we discovered that all the papers were wrong!!! I shouldn't have come into work the day after my dad died really as that was when I made the mistake but I wanted to keep busy at the time.

Never mind - it isn't the end of the world and we have emailed the proper papers out (although interestingly no one had actually noticed so that just shows that they don't bother reading their papers before hand).

I'm off to a friends this evening to catch up on her house move. She lives just down the road from us and I go to hers for lunch on a regular basis but she is moving to Derby. :(

Enjoy the day Ally - sounds like a perfect work/life balance you have there

Kaz; difficult one - you suit both longer and short hair; but I do like your shorter bob style ;)

Deibh (((((big hug)))))) You need to stop and take time out for yourself. I know it's easier said than done, but you've been running around looking out for / after everyone else and have forgotten about you. Who's looking after you? Remember that the McMillan nurses are there for family members after someone's passing if you need an outsider to speak to. Try and make sure you catch up with your friends and have some 'me time' - you need it. (((hug)))) xxx

have a lovely day everyone and stay warm and dry x

Debih, Ria is spot on, you must take care of yourself. I'm so sorry your nice friend is moving, and hope you will still be able to keep up with each other ((((((((Deb)))))))) xxx

Ria I am tempted, as the in betwen layers are driving me potty, but want to see how it looks longer first  Bet I end up having it chopped in the end anyway  :P

Morning everyone

Sunshine and clouds this morning, wet stuff to come, apparently  Lots of it

Debih, listen to your body, it's telling you to take some time out. I know you want to keep busy, taking your mind of everything, but you need some "me" time - now.

We're off to Tavira, have to do various biots and bobs, including collecting my new 2 year guarantee on the lenses I had replaced - would that happen in England? They're almost 2 years old (my glasses lenses) but went wonky, so took them back and now have new ones. And a new frame  :D :D :D :D

Kaz, I'm the same, I never know whether to let my fringe grow or keep it - it's easier to keep

Hope you all have a good day, whatever the weather xx

Morning all :)
Damp and murky again but not actually chucking it down.

Debih it is hard, you will obviously have to concentrate at the meeting but hopefully that's all, do you have to work more than just that?
Also unless there's anything else urgent you're perfectly entitled to take tomorrow off, if you should be working.
You're bound to feel down, just go with it apart from that meeting and let yourself be sad - your friend will understand (((x)))

Kaz my hair is still uncut too, and a very annoying length!
I quite like it a bit longer for the winter but am also undecided :D
Ally I thought of you last night, I made the most gorgeous Thai curry using turkey mince made into little meatballs :)
Hope you all have a good day

LOL Di yes it's the annoyance factor that's getting to me  When it was bobbed, she cut the front bits longer, and despite me straightening them in the morning, as soon as I go out in the damp air they kink upwards, which looks strange as the rest of it is either straight or goes slightly under   I need an 'at until it grows long enough to stop doing it!

That thai curry sounds nice 8-)

Morning all :D

(((((Debih)))))) I'm not surprised you feel a bit down and overwhelmed. Try to take a little time for yourself, easier said than done with all you're dealing with, perhaps a few days away from work would help. Sending big hugs xxx

It wet and miserable here today, drizzle rather than heavy rain, but the sort of day you want to stay snuggled up indoors. Not this afternoon though, we've got two more bungalows to view, they've only just come on the market. The first one probably isn't in our ideal location although it's definitely considered one of the best places to be. The other is in a village quite close to here, very pretty but really in the middle of nowhere. There's only one shop and an hourly bus service sooooo..........at this stage it's more about seeing what our money will buy and given the uncertainty around the apartment we feel we really ought to stay on top of what's available, you never know.

Hope you all have a good day :D
