I don't know Cromwell, but if ever you find out the answer please let me know because mine drives me batty!!!! With mine it's actually it's the design of the loo in that that you can't get to where the lid screws are attached. A right pain the the posterior :lol: :lol: :lol:

Those steel fixings are the worst..... they get so corroded and seize up.

The nylon ones are not much better, you keep tightening them and they keep stretching, or the threads get stripped.

The only decent ones are brass, and most times you have to buy them separately.

LOL, I have a standing order at Homebase for replacement seat fittings. I find them a pig to position properly and when you tighten the nuts on the nylon threads, the wretched rubber seals the hinges are supposed to sit on never finish up where they should under said hinge .....
