Thanks everyone for asking.

It is beginning to mend, but I am still hobbling about and have to use crutches to get out and about. At least the swelling is going down and the bruising is starting to lose it colour. I have made a doctor's appointment for next week, as instructed by A&E, when I expect to be back to normal(ish).

The insurance people came and collected the scooter this morning for it to be repaired. I think I might sell it in Spring and go back to a car!

Do you think they might give you an orthopaedic boot, Frank? I had one of those when I had a break in my foot, it felt awkward but I soon got used to it and was well able to walk around but obviously not drive. By the way when it recovers be sure to get some physio, I was told I wouldn't need any but it caused trouble in my knee over five years later. I hope it continues to improve xx

Rosie, I am seeing the doctor on Monday to have things checked out, so will see what he says. I once had a boot when I tore my Achilles tendon and TBH it was a waste of time - all it did was lock my foot in one position and I needed physio to free it up.

Haven't been around much lately so I've just found this. Oh dear Frank, avanug (((Frank))). I'm glad the swelling is going down and that you can get about a bit even if it's on crutches. You're far too good a soul, worrying about the driver. You could have been killed.

Yes, Liz, it could have been worse, and that is what the lady was thinking, but it wasn't.

I am mending and getting about a bit more freely, and thanks for the gentle hug. :D :D :D
