Not quite the evening I had planned.

Postby debih » 23 Nov 2014, 00:27

The evening I planned was bath, early night and decent nights sleep as I've hardly slept this week.

The evening I got was bath, early night and phone call from S's friends parent, where she was sleeping over, to say shed dislocated her knee and the ambulance was on its way.

Now sat in a cubicle waiting to be seen. Saturday night in A&E. Nice.

Oh no Deb! :o How on earth did she manage to do that?
Hope that you'll both soon be out of there and that S isn't too uncomfortable, poor thing :(

Dancing around and kicking her legs up in the air!

She seems ok - she's gone to sleep. I'm say on a cold tiled floor as the cubicle has a stretcher, a sink and a bin. No chair.

And in the cubicle is a drunk woman chucking her guts up!

But on the plus side I don't think S will be taking part in the school festival of dance which gets me out of 3 hours of mental torture!

Thank god I've got the kindle app on my phone.

The friends dad is sat in the waiting room. He says he'll wait to take us home bless him. He bought a very thick book and a flask of coffee with him!

Urgh, the joys of Saturday night in A&E :?
Last time we were in A&E with Joe he was quite excited about the fact that there were a couple of inmates in there from HMP Stafford

She must have quite a kick on her

She's fine, except her knee hurts! We got home around 4am.

I'll have to speak to them at the fracture clinic on Tuesday (we have to go back as a matter of routine) to find out how long she needs to stay away from PE and dance at school.

The paramedics said now it's happened once it's likely to happen again. Just perfect for a gcse dance student.

I wondered if it might be helped with physio.
