Morning all :D

Overcast again today, but no rain at the moment. Just been out to get the papers and veggies to go with the yummy rotisserie chicken we picked up in M&S yesterday. The Waitrose in town sells brussel tops, we were so surprised to see them as we haven't found them in any shop for years. We love them, much nicer than cabbage, goodness knows why they're not generally available. The children much preferred them to sprouts as the flavour is more delicate. I remember asking for them in a greengrocer when we first moved to Swindon and the old chap said 'I can see you're of a certain age if you remember them' , cheeky wotsit :o

Apart from that and getting the washing on, nothing else planned for today.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Afternoon all, we all slept ok but not enough I suspect. More rain overnight but no more flooding and we had dryers and dehumidifiers on all night - noisy but once doors were closed it was like the noise of aircon. Michael was awake and very excited at 6.30  and in playing in our bed at 7am. House is all ready for onslaught, errr party at 2.30, spag bol and SCD from Blackpool later, looking forward to seeing that amazing ballroom. Have a good day everyone :)

I'm having a sit down ;)

That's the front patio swept, cooker pulled out and cleaned - and underneath and the sides are gleaming like a mirror :D ditto the wine rack and the fridge/freezer.

Also sorted out - I hope - a money transfer application, rang Bill about the wheel-barrow, helped clear up the mess Grumpy is making, as he's scraping old paint off the wall upstairs.

The visitors e-mailed yesterday to say they're coming to Portugal on Sunday and where are we? So we're trying to arrange a day - but we're so busy next week, dentist (I hope  ) going to Tavira and other bits and bobs.

A young man in a van arrived and is trying to see if he can find what is wrong :(
He has narrowed it down to our road and the road that runs along the top end.
He is going to ask for a camera to be put through the sewers to find the fault :(
Meanwhile it is still pouring with rain and the drains are still overflowing and
running right down the garden (good job we are on a slope otherwise it would
creep indoors
