As soon as I come round I'm sick :(

Me too Loz :( And I couldn't hear very well the last time I came around either, it was very scary and the nurses couldn't understand why  Woke up the next morning and all was fine (well, as fine as my loud music damaged ears will ever be I suppose :( )

Poll, so glad you're home and on the mend. Hope you get the results quickly xx

I'm never sick after a GA but for some reason my BP goes through the floor, so I usually end up on a fluid drip and obs  Trust me   Last time it went down to 70/40 something and I was too scared and dizzy to sleep, so watched telly all night  Luckily I was in a side ward

I always feel really sick and out of it, but I know I need to eat to feel better, so the minute my eyes are open I'll take the tea, the biscuits the sandwiches whatever because I know it will make me feel better

When I had my lumpectomy this was the conversation, and by now after being nil by mouth for over 15 hours I was hungry

Nurse - would you like a sandwich
Me - yes please-
Nurse - I'll see what we have
back she comes empty handed- we have egg
me -thats lovely
off she goes and back she comes still empty handed
nurse - it's brown bread
Me -thats fine
off she goes and back she comes still empty handed
sorry, forgot to say it's egg and tomato

I don't bloody care what it is just feed me

thanks all :) have to say the pain is about the same as it was after it was done, but the painkillers are working and I am sleeping which is the main thing. It's ok until I swallow or start talking.

Throat things are horrible at night because you get a dry mouth, so I am pleased you are sleeping.

Hope it soon starts to feel better and you can drop the painkillers
