((((Poll)))) Glad to have you 'home' and safe, and all over with :) Fingers crossed for the results XX

GA is a funny thing isn't it? Not at all like sleep, where you are aware of time having passed - it's like one second you are waiting to go under, and then the next it's all over with!

Take it easy hun xxxxxxxxx

thanks Kaz, i am so glad to be home - I was really quite anxious about the GA, even though it was number 5, I think now I have a lot more knowledge and was very scared.

It is crazy isn't it....when I had my last operation I new it had happened when I woke up, last night I was totally lost, I remembered what time it was just before going under and then saw the time and thought oh, its done! mad!

Poll, going back a few years, I had a major bunion op - sadly, the hospital has closed down now, but as I was trundled, outside  to the theatre, it started to rain, so one of the porters gave me an umbrella

Sorry, I digress ;)

When I was coming round, I was bawling my eyes out and the guy in the next bed was "swimming". The nurses had a laugh, as they reckoned I was making enough water for him to swim through

That was my first ga, and I hated it, was worried sick.

But glad you're through it now and onwards and upwards Poll xx

oh Ton you poor thing!

my 1st GA I was very young- about 13months so don't remember, 2nd I was 19 and remember dreaming and woke up crying for my mum, 3rd when I had c-section for Amy and don't recall a thing, 4th gall bladder op 4 yrs ago and again don't recall dreaming and woke up ok and yesterday was prob the best in terms of not even feeling me drifting off because they gave me some diazapam or something to relax me!

Amy is home from playing at her friends so will be going to bed very soon

xx

It was hilarious :D :D   Being trundled over a sort of patio, in the rain    It was just south of Bristol, a very good orthopedic hospital, that used to be part of an airfield - Wingfield??

No, Winford- brilliant place.
