Lol Gal, we think the bus is great - €6.50 each for a weekly ticket and we have already had more than our money's worth! This evening we went back into Valletta and had a delicious meal followed by more gorgeous ice cream. Tomorrow or Tuesday we are going to head up to Mellieha as my brother is interested in a holiday there in March so we said we would have a look. Thank you all for suggestions of places to visit, I'd say we will come back here and get to some of them.

Manxie how did you manage to clock up that mileage  it's not that big

We had nice weather today, had some time by the pool this morning which was lovely.

Glad you're enjoying it Osc, and glad you're having some nice weather too.
It may not be what you went for, but it sure helps ;)
We also travelled by bus a lot, and loved it :)

Hehehe.... we went out every day and all day in the car, we even went to Gozo twice on the ferry with the car.

For a small island it is different in many of the towns and villages, so something new to see everywhere.

We went to somewhere on the east coast I can't remember the name. I thinkl it had a fort and was on the seaside/harbour also had a big market the day we went lots to see and buy there. The only thing I saw there and didn't like was the wild birds in cages for sale and to make it even worse they had dyed the birds feathers all different colours as well, I wanted to open the cages and set them free, but didn't.

We brought home some lovely lacework and material from there.
