Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 09 Nov 2014, 08:08

Good morning.....from beautiful Nerja! :D

Left a sleeping husband and been for an early morning walk. :D.

We‘re meeting our friends at 10.30 and going for breakfast.

Going for a stroll on the beach after that.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

It's been raining overnight again, but looking good now, think we could be in for some sunshine :D

Happy Birthday to Mick, enjoy lunch Kaz.

Take it easy Ton x

Had a chat with the agent yesterday. Apparently the apartment vendors went back to look at the original bungalow they fell in love with around 2.30ish. Not sure why tbh as he indicated they won't be able to increase their offer and the sellers of the bungalow have no need to reduce at this stage. He said they can't quite stretch to it, well okay so if they can't afford it why keep viewing  He also hinted they might be pushing for more money from us, I scotched that immediately, no point at all while they're nowhere near ready to proceed. Honestly we're getting a tad exasperated with it all. The only thing stopping us from starting to view again is a lack of suitable properties at the moment. Having said that, the market is traditionally quiet at this time of year, things will start to pick up in the new year. It's a shame, but what will be will be..........right now I'd say the odds are 50/50.

A lazy morning for us then we're off out for a late lunch, need to use a voucher, well that's the excuse anyway

Hope you all have a good day :D

Jen, buying and selling is such a pain, isn't it?

There are houses here we'd love to view, but the owners are being totally unrealistic, even when the property has been on the market for years  and are expecting to get at least 40,000 over what it's worth.

Keeping everything crossed for you x

Good Morning (not really  )
Woke up to find the sewage drain overflowing and all the neighbours
checking theirs!!!
Phoned up Southern Water and after about 15 mins got through.
They said their pumping station near us was working alright
but that they would send someone out.
Nice overworked young man has called and has checked the main
sewer and said it is still not running away.
Offered to disinfect or to come back tomorrow and clean up
properly as rain is forecast and it will happen again.
He says he will log it for compensation.

Good afternoon all! It's gone very dull here after a sunny start, the breeze looks to have picked up too which I won't complain about as there's washing out on the line

Had a lovely 90 minute walk with Billy this morning. He was playing with two King Charles Spaniels and a Labrador being walked by a lovely elderly gentlemen. We were chatting for quite some time while the dogs were chasing around. I happened to mention having to get back to wake Joe and he asked how old he was. I said 14 and he looked shocked and then said I must've been young when I had him - and when I told him he said that he thought I only looked late 20s. Hopefully we'll bump into him more often :P

Not sure what we're doing later. I'm off to make lunch now, it's Jambalaya today. Might go looking at new boots later.

What a nuisance Jen! It's all dragging on so long for you :?

Happy Birthday to Mick! :D

Safe journey to Di and Bb - where has that week gone?

Enjoy the rest of the day all xx

Morning all.

We're off the rememberence service at the village memorial in an hour or so. S is doing a reading, an excerpt from a letter written by a soldier to his mum, talking about bombs being like fireworks) and L and her friend are laying the wreath on behalf of the children of the village. Her and Libby do it most years as they are the youngest children who go to the service.

After that it's the vicars birthday party! It's at our local pub so there'll be all our friends there.

But I'm calling in on mum and dad between the two. I rang her earlier - they are both really low. So now I feel really shitty. :(

Sadly, it was bound to hit them at some stage Debih, so please don't feel shitty about it all. You've done marvels.

Pop round, then go out as planned, have a few wines or six and a hug from me xx
