   They still do electric drills! I nearly bought a Morphy Richards' multi-chef cum blender cum food processor...... only £30. :o :P

The new layout is a bit on the IKEA idea, you start at one end............... and at the other are the tills. If today was anything to go by they have a business model that could well work.

It sounds good. We don't have Netto here, nor Aldi, but Lidl is starting to make Tesco sit up and take notice. We don't have Morrisons either.

We have a Sainsburys, a Co-op and an Iceland.

I do my main shop at either Lidl or Aldi. I have to either drive a 20 mile round trip to get to them or call in to the one near our head office in Coalville when I go there.

I use Sainsburys or Iceland to top up.

We are still delighted with Morrisons, and reckon to have saved a fortune since the summer. They have run several "Spend at least £40 pw for three weeks then get £10 off your shopping and money off fuel" deals since then :D At the moment, if you spend at least £40 pw in there you will get £25 off your Christmas shop! You need to use your loyalty card but that can be signed up for quickly in store and the temp card used until you get the plastic one through the post 8-)

I do the main shop at Aldi and top up at Tesco which is just across the road from it for the stuff I can't get from Aldi. When I say top up though, I had a trolley full in Aldi last night and spent a few pence under £40 and then spent £22 on the top up, two carrier bags full in Tesco.

Debbie, do you get the Aldi vouchers out of the Daily Mirror? It's usually the last Thursday in the month that they have a £5 off a £40 spend voucher (it did rise to £45 at one time but recently dropped down again) plus other product vouchers and they're always valid until close of business on the following Thursday so I always get two copies to cover two main shops.
