Morning all
Good luck to all the peeps with appointments today xxx
Enjoy your day with Di & Bb Ally
Yesterday was certainly the best day to go to London, we've had high winds and lashings of rain here so far this morning. Looks as though it's beginning to settle but still wouldn't have wanted to risk it today.
We loved seeing the poppies, it really is spectacular. More people there than we expected though so it was difficult getting round, at times sardines in a can springs to mind. Thought it would be quieter being a weekday but think people, like us, put it off and then realised time's running out.
One thing we have learnt though is we really will have to be more organised in future, no more on the spur of the moment outings really. Poor E was in lots of pain by the time we got home, more walking than we anticipated didn't help, but getting the 'wrong' train home really finished him off. We should have gone much earlier so we could travel back before the rush hour, we had to stand until Sevenoaks, only 20mins or so but it was the straw that broke the camels back for E. By the time we got home he was finished and this morning he's still quite sore.
Overall though we're really glad we went, as one old chap said, it's a once in a lifetime event so not to be missed and E's adamant it was worth the effort
Think I told you we're booked to see Queen + Adam Lambert on 18 January, how could anyone forget
well there's a big Elvis exhibition starting at the 02 in December so I've just booked tickets for us to do that on 19 Jan. Decided we might just as well stay overnight and do Elvis the next day. Adam Lambert is very much for me really, Elvis is for E so there it is Christmas pressies for both of us sorted
Not much planned for today, I need to get out for the papers and some fresh veggies shortly. Have tried to persuade E to stay indoors, but think that's a losing battle, he's determined to come with me
Hope you all have a good day
