Absolutely brilliant pictures.

Look out for the Vulcan bomber taking off, and the shark ready to pounce.

Indeed! I wonder, has anyone on the forum ever seen one of these murmurations live? I never have ......

Back in the 1970's we used to get huge flocks of starlings in the Birmingham City centre at roosting time, because they liked the warmth and had plenty of places to perch, but I don't recall any "displays" as such. These days, it's just pigeons.

There were times when an umbrella came in very handy if you were walking through that Cathedral churchyard opposite the Old Joint Stock where the VV meet took place ... :D

I've never seen one, either.

I have never seen one in the wild, either.

Leeds City centre used to get the flocks as well, Ossie, just before evening set in and they could roost on the town hall and the library next door. Then some bright spark came up with the idea of covering the buildings in netting and the starlings left.
