I'm sure it would Debih, it saves us about £70 a year.
The water company is actually quite good, when I phoned about it they had a calculation all set up so they could work it out for you - ours did work out almost exactly as they predicted.

The thing is, some people get paranoid and think they need to be ridiculously careful about it - you don't at all, just use it as normal :)

Mine was put in a few years after I moved here. The two lads who had the place before me must have been using enough water for a family of sea lions.

I kept on and on at Yorkshire Water about the size of my bills, only me here, and every year I was due a rebate. I kept sending them monthly readings taken by me, but the silly sods couldn't understand and simply refused to lower my monthly DD.

I eventually got in touch with my landlord and was given permission to have a meter fitted, best thing ever! I now pay £15 pcm, which I do not think is bad, as I said in my OP. It was a five minute job and last year a new meter was fitted that sends readings automatically to YW.

One person uses a lot less than two or more Debih so yes, I'd definitely consider a meter. Especially is it's shower only (no bath)

The only thing I notice is when cleaning teeth, only me turns the tap off and on (to try and save water)......GRRRRR :|
