Gosh, what's that smell?

Postby cromwell » 31 Oct 2014, 14:44

South Yorkshire is nowhere near the coast but I'm sure there's a really fishy smell there.

Labour have won the election for the Police and Crime Commissioner, with their candidate Holy Joe, or whatever his name is.

But the REALLY interesting thing is that in Doncaster the BBC reports that out of just short of a 15% turn out, less than 4% turned out to vote with 11.7% being postal votes..

Fishy, fishy, fishy.

I don't know why they introduced this farcical business of a Police Commissioner.

It would have been much better if the Government were to appoint a Commissioner
with powers to knock the Police Force into a more efficient condition. In my opinion
they all need a good shake-up, and be made to do the job they are paid to do, namely
enforce the law.

Only 85,000 out of 1m voters could be bothered, fewer even than the fist time.

In any one area where the postal vote is almost three times that of polling stations is bound to be suspect and we all know at which part of the community those suspicions will be directed.

Seems like 148,062 voted, WM, and a further 2,299 spoiled their ballots.

For some reason, they entrusted Barnsley to do the count .... :D

80% of the votes were postal votes. I'm afraid I don't have much confidence in this result.

Os, I got the 80% postal vote from the Labour list website.

I predict...(puts gypsy headscarf on..) that if the general election votes are 80% postal, Labour will win every seat in the House of Commons..
