Loz, the thing is that your hearing could spontaneously come back. All is not lost. You are in good hands.

Tinnitus you can get used to, but you know that.

Balance. Info from my GP was to practice. Hand on wall, close eyes, lift one foot and work at not falling over. Do the same with the other foot. Gradually, over time and as your confidence grows, loosen your grip on the wall.

Do not lift both feet at the same time.... unless you want another trip to hospital.

Yes, the balance will improve and actually my tango lessons will help. Not the dancing (not quite ready for that yet) but the exercises which we do for core strength and balance in the embrace :)

Oh no loz, that doesn't sound too good to me. I hope your hearing suddenly comes back soon! I'm so pleased that your gp was on to it so quickly.

Let's hope they can establish exactly what the cause is, then they may be able to treat it effectively.

I do hope so.

(((loz))) hope the steriods work and your hearing comes back as quick as it went, good news about the Meniers though.

Can't add much to what has been said; but sending loads of vibes that the steroids work and your hearing does come back, even if only a little bit. Your doctor sounds fab; you're in good hands there ;)
