Snow watch

It looks like we're getting it tomorrow too.
If we do then Bb, Minnie and I will be out in the road playing

Its been snowing heavily here since about 6pm but has started to ease off a little. We have been forecast for up to 15 inches to fall by tomorrow afternoon.

I have to be up bright and early to ring the head at about 6.30 to let her know what the weather is like to make an early decision to close the school. L is trying to bribe me to close it anyway.

Will be listening out on the radio to find out what is happening with S's school.

I am hoping that school isn't cancelled as I had big plans for a relaxing day alone tomorrow.

Becky's college is closed for snow tomorrow - and we haven't had a flake as yet! Although to be fair it is way out in the country, and the students and staff travel from all over..................

It started here at about 3:30 pm and has just stopped. More is forecast for the early morning, so travel tomorrow could be treacherous.

It's quite odd to look out and see everything white, including the roads.

We've just had a nice walk over the common, it's so slippery over there though because the snow is lying on very icy ground as it was saturated over there after all of the rain.

The surface water is the big problem around here, when I went out earlier there were workmen on the road trying to fix a big leak. There's been running water/floods there for weeks, and it's on quite a dodgy bit of road, a bend on a hill.
There were already signs out for ice warnings.
I know there's always a lot of over-reaction in this country, but at the moment, when we've had so much rain, it really is going to be treachorous if you can't see the water/ice.
