It's nice here, though cold.

We are heading to the International Centre for Birds of Prey near Pickering.

If we can get ourselves moving.

No it's not long to go - I think they've saved their whole year's rain allowance for when we're there

Hope not Di  But it will probably be warm rain ;)

Ria - I don't know why it's done at this time of year. But it is. Some do it in the spring, but most this time of year. The old paint is blasted off, repairs to walls etc, then the plastic base paint, then a couple of layers of plastic paint on top.

We bought 15 litres for 36.90 - believe it or not, it's a bargain    We could have bought cheaper, but it would probably run in the rain

Good afternoon all - what a change to yesterday, it's dull, cold and drizzly :?

I've been to the gym, done some shopping and taken Billy for a quick walk - it was too miserable out there to go too far. I've baked a cake since getting back and hoovered through too and was looking forward to a nice quiet afternoon with my Kindle after a busy week so far, Joe's up in his room playing X Box and Tom was at M's and said he wasn't coming back until late tonight, or at least that was the plan two hours ago when I texted him....they've just walked through the front door  No doubt they'll shortly walk in here with food and want to watch TV, and bang goes my quiet afternoon! :(

Saundra, I'm fed up of leaves from the trees next door too. They're not that tall yet either (these are the blessed things that he's planted just feet from the house and right up against the fence, and probably just three or four feet away from the sewer pipe) so I dread to think what it'll be like when they grow a bit more

Have a good day all!

Afternoon all, we're not long back after an outing, we took Michael bowling. He hates to lose and was not impressed that Granny won!! However he beat me hollow on the air football ;)

Having a sit down now, then going to make some scones and prepare tonight's dinner. This evening we are going to a Hallowe'en dance so will be dressing up - me as a witch, him as a devil, courtesy of Lidl and their nice cheap costumes. Should be fun! Enjoy the rest of the day everyone :)

Kaz it'll be fine, I'm sure it won't rain all day long, every day :)
