We went to Tenby over winter, I can't remember exactly when but it was the first snow of the season that weekend. We stayed at a b&b and it was lovely. The town was pretty, the harbour peaceful, and not much to do but read books. There were a few eating places nearby and castle ruins to explore.
I have never been to Tenby, but I have been thinking about Wales for next year. As a child I went to North Wales a lot, so South Wales would be a change.
If it's wild sea and lots of waves you like Shell you won't go far wrong with the west coast of Ireland and you don't need a passport either. Lots of ferry crossings if you don't want to fly.
Paddy, we would love to go to Ireland, but it is still a bit difficult for us to do, as we need to know we can just hop in the car and come back if need be
Just need Tim to think about where for his half. I know I said I would leave it until nearer the time, but I have stayed in that one before I didn't want to lose it as it was Tim's first choice in Mevagissey
