not an arguement for or against.
But maybe it is to coincide with the launch of selling the poppies as that started Friday I understand maybe they are wearing them on tv to prompt people to buy early and maybe more often to raise the cash they need to do all they do for the ex servicemen and women???

I saw them out selling at our local supermarket and thought gosh it seems early but still put a £ in the box I shall get a poppy later or just donate again when I see a seller.

I am ex army and have seen the work they do, thankfully so far never needed their help but not all are so fortunate as I have been.

Personally I wouldn't mind how soon they started selling as it is very important they raise as much as they can.

I see many older buying and wearing but few younger men or girls seem to, possibly because the reasons we have the poppies was too far ahead ot their time and cannot relate the same as we can.

No-one's against them being sold Manxie, and yes it's to coincide with the launch of the appeal.
But there are two more Strictlys before November 11th, which makes them being worn on that show already seem a bit ridiculous :?

I think like Manxie says there is a big push this year for the 100th Anniversary 8-)

Personally I wouldn't mind how soon they started selling as it is very important they raise as much as they can.

That's how I feel too, although I appreciate nobody here is saying they shouldn't be sold :)
