Good morning. :D :D

A hot and sunny day forecast. 8-) 8-)

Jacob & Conor are 22 today! :D :D :D

We're nipping over this morning to see mum and dad before the boys go off to work. :D

Craig and Leilani should be getting to ours around lunchtime. :P :P

I've got work at 4pm and everyone is coming to meet me afterwards and we're going for a few beers and a bite to eat at Hairy Mary's. :D :D :D

Have a great day everyone. :D

Good morning everybody,

It is still dark but I can see a few clouds. Taking mrs.e to have an aromatherapy this morning. She always has one before we go on holiday.
On here early as I am ordering our repeat prescriptions. We can do it online.
Hope everybody has a good day.

Morning everyone :)

Not feeling the brightest here, for some reason Pepper barked and growled to be let out at least half a dozen times in the early hours - we lost count after a while :( We are both shattered, but poor Mick has to work, at least I can rest :? Madam is fine of course, so goodness knows what the fuss was :(

Ally you must be soooo excited :D :D Have a wonderful family reunion!! I get my Harry here for half term, starting Sunday - Ive not seen him for over a month and it's been really hard, so I am very excited too 8-) :) :)

Cruiser I hope Mrs C enjoys her treatment :)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all :D

Happy Birthday to your boys Ally :D

Cruiser, I hope your wife enjoys her treatment :D . How lovely.

Sorry you are not feeling on top form this morning Kaz. Not suprising really. Hope you can squeeze in a little snooze :D How lovely to have Harry coming on Sunday x

Bits and bobs for me today. We really need to start sorting a few things out for the house we are buying. It won't be long until it is finished being built, so we need to sort out curtains and a couple of white goods before renting.

Wishing everyone a good day xxx

Morning all :D

Happy Birthday to Jacob and Connor :D :D :D

We had a hectic few days back in Swindon, luckily our journey home yesterday was quite easy, no rain and the traffic wasn't too heavy. We were both pretty exhausted though so after a quick tea we flopped in front of the box and promptly fell asleep

E got the all clear again for another three months, can't tell you what a massive relief it is each time the consultant says those magic words NED (no evidence of disease) :D :D :D :D :D

Mother was in very good health, amazing really, and she hasn't missed us at all which is a huge relief. Of course there will always be the usual niggles/paranoia associated with her dementia, but that's the nature of the illness. Overall she was cheerful and settled which is the best it will ever be. We also popped in to see my elderly aunt and uncle, sadly they're trapped in their own little world, still not able to go out :( My cousin was due to arrive yesterday afternoon and will stay with them until Friday so at least they'll have some company.

Up early today as we have a second viewing booked to see the apartment at 10am. Not because either of us have any doubts, we absolutely fell in love with it, more to see how we'll fit our things in. We're going to have to be really drastic with things we'd normally store in the loft, not easy as although a lot of it rarely sees the light of day, some things have been kept for sentimental reasons. Our furniture definitely isn't an issue, if anything none of it's as big and grand as the furniture the current owners have, tbh our sofas will look lost..........perhaps an excuse to go shopping  Today's also a good opportunity to find out how their search is progressing, agents can have a tendency to tell you what they think you want to hear rather than what's actually happening. While we're in a position where we don't have to rush, we wouldn't want to waste too much time waiting and then find we're back to square one with the prospect of paying lots more rental.

Afterwards we'll need to do some food shopping, the fridge is bare.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Ooh Loz that's getting closer then, are you going to make the curtains yourself or buy them? :) Re the while goods, what Mick and I have done a few times is go to a big electrical showroom, suss out a model we really liked, then look online to see if we could get it cheaper and maybe the old model taken away ;) Anyway have fun looking :) 8-)

Jen exciting times, the apartment does sound ideal - just a thought but maybe if there is just one or two boxes of sentimental stuff that you really can't bear to be parted with, perhaps one of the girls would have a little lift space to spare? :geek: ;)

Such good news about your mum, as you must have had some concerns about moving further away - I am so glad it doesn't seem to have unsettled her :) xxxx

Morning everyone

it's summer :D :D Really lovely and hot already outside.

Happy Birthday to your "little" boys Ally xx Hope you all have a lovely day xx

Sounds exciting Jen, hope it all goes smoothly. Kaz had the right idea, I gave my daughter a few things I couldn't bring over here to keep.

I'll be dragging grumpy knickers out for a walk later - whether he likes it or not - we're doing it - and Saturday - and Monday - and Wednesday   until he's used to it.

Must get some houseworkery stuff done today and as it's so lovely, think I'll start washing all the curtains - they'll soon be dry.

Have a good day everyone and enjoy yourselves if you can xxx

Morning everyone
I'm on holiday as of an hour ago. I'm in waitomo, saying in a train carriage, in a paddock, with cows just over the fence. We didn't tell the kids where we were staying, until an hour before we got here, to say they were excited, is an understatement. :D
They are asleep now
Off to see glow worms in limestone caves tomorrow
Everything happens for a reason

Morning all

Weka, that sounds amazing - I'd also be very excited.

Usual work day for me and then a quiet evening at home; well pottering about and doing some tidying up - the place is a mess and I don't want to spend the entire weekend just cleaning.

Happy birthday to the twins Ally - hope you all have a lovely day and dinner

Hope everyone has a lovely day; they all sound quite lovely and busy
