Children's Books

Postby KateLMead » 21 Oct 2014, 08:31

Some years ago I wrote and illustrated three children's books. Printed in book form by a friend "Hedgehog Hotel" written for (my mother and handicapped brother who used to feed every living creature in the neighbourhood, all of which according to my brother "used to stand in line outside the gate all the way down the lane to The Mill" waiting to be fed.. :) "Mr Moles Wedding'. and "The Great Escape" based on three pigs that escaped the slaughter house.
My daughter unaware to me had made copies of part of each book and had written a beautiful letter to a number of publishers, explaining that at the ripe old age of 81 it would be wonderful if I could get them published before "I meet my demise" ;) :) the letter is touching and made me feel very emotional.
We await replies, I do not want to go for vanity publishing its costly.
Here's keeping our fingers crossed

It was lovely Lozzles, to read her loving words. Particularly as we are both forthright if one upsets the other :) :D :D

You will be first on my list cruiser. I have given dozens away over the years, now. Daughter says it's time my books were published and with luck I might also earn a bit from. My works. It never entered my head until Gus told me what she had done and I had read her touching letter
Thanks cruiser .
